Dr. Gouldstein's collection of new species
The Earth Biological Clock pairs ecological study with choreography, data dispersion with performance, and research with play. Real-time datastreams on global and local water conditions take physical form in the evolved "clock" - an underwater monster that thrives in the conditions of a warming planet.
Contributors to the project include League mainstays Doctors Gomez, Schleidan, Johansen, and Madmann, with the inventive Dr. Gouldstein. biological and evolutionary descendent of Stephen Jay Gould, leading the League's New Creatures division. Scientist and environmentalist David Garin lends his brain, as do synthetic biologist Natalie Kuldell, science exhibit designer David Bloom, neurologist Florian Thomas, and genomic researcher Jennifer Kuehl.
